Rangers star could leave Ibrox in 'Big Money' PL move

Dean Jones has expressed the belief that there may be significant concerns within the Rangers organization regarding the potential departure of Todd Cantwell to Premier League clubs in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The former Eurosport journalist, speaking to GiveMeSport on Sunday, indicated that he would be surprised if Cantwell, aged 25, were to leave the Gers, as he appears to be thoroughly enjoying his time at Ibrox.

However, Jones also acknowledged that the possibility of Premier League clubs offering substantial sums to secure the services of the English attacking midfielder is not out of the question, given his impressive performances.

“I think Cantwell, he seems to be anyway, loving life at Rangers,” said Jones. “I would be surprised if he left the club in the summer.

“But obviously, one of Rangers’ big fears will be that Premier League clubs are looking at his situation and decide to put some big money on the table. It’s certainly not out of the question, given how well he’s been playing at times.”

It appears improbable that Cantwell would opt to depart from Rangers, given his consistent playing time and evident enjoyment of his current club.

Although he may have a desire to eventually return to England, it is unlikely that he would be able to join a club of the same stature as Rangers at this moment.

It is likely in his best interests to continue delivering strong performances under Philippe Clement's guidance and let the future unfold naturally.

Despite a mixed bag of performances in the first half of the season, the attacking midfielder has recently hit top form before being sidelined by injury.

Rangers fans will be eagerly awaiting his return to the team to aid in their SPL title push and hope that he will remain at Ibrox for the foreseeable future.
