Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing a potential move for 22-year-old winger Dorgeles Nene, who enjoyed a standout season with 24 goal contributions — but they face competition from other interested clubs.
Following a disappointing Premier League campaign that saw them finish 17th, just one place above the drop zone, Spurs are in dire need of reinforcing their squad.
Despite their league struggles, the North London club did claim their first trophy in 17 years by defeating Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final.
That victory not only ended their silverware drought but also secured Champions League qualification and a financial boost ahead of the transfer window.
With European football on the horizon, strengthening the team has become a top priority, and reports suggest Spurs could add up to five new players this summer.
According to TeamTalk, Tottenham are tracking RB Salzburg’s Dorgeles Nene closely. While no official bid has been made, the club reportedly considers him a highly promising talent and a serious option.
The versatile winger, who can play on either flank, had an impressive 2024/25 season with Salzburg, scoring 15 goals and providing nine assists in 46 appearances.
It’s believed Nene is ready to take the next step in his career, and Spurs are keeping a close eye on him as part of a broader recruitment drive.
Tottenham aren’t alone in their pursuit of the talented young forward, with reports indicating that as many as five other clubs are keeping tabs on Dorgeles Nene’s situation.
Interest in the 22-year-old is reportedly growing across Europe, particularly in Germany, where both Bayer Leverkusen and Freiburg are monitoring his progress after being impressed by his performances in Austria. Both Bundesliga sides are said to be considering a possible move.
Italian clubs are also in the mix, with Lazio and Fiorentina following Nene’s development closely in recent months.
However, their interest hasn’t yet progressed beyond the scouting phase, and no formal offers have been made so far.
As for his current club RB Salzburg, they are believed to be open to selling Nene this summer, but only if the right offer arrives.
Reports suggest they’ve set an asking price in the region of €20 million (£16.8 million) to €25 million (£21 million).
