Tottenham Hotspur have the option to sign Johnny Cardoso for approximately €25 million at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has become a key figure at Real Betis and could be a valuable addition to Tottenham.

With the need for more depth and quality in midfield, especially given Yves Bissouma’s underwhelming form and potential departure, Cardoso could be a strong replacement.

The U.S. international may be eager for the challenge of playing in the Premier League, having already proven himself in Spanish football. Moving to England would offer him an exciting opportunity at this stage of his career.

According to AS, Real Betis would be open to his transfer to Tottenham and have already started planning for the future.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs will make a formal offer to complete the deal.

When selling Giovani Lo Celso to Real Betis, they secured a first refusal option on Cardoso, allowing them to sign him at a favorable price.

Although other clubs have shown interest, Tottenham hold a significant advantage in the race for his signature.

Taking swift action to secure the move would be in their best interest.

After a disappointing season, Spurs are aiming for a strong comeback next year.

Strengthening the midfield should be a key priority, and Cardoso, with his blend of physicality and technical ability, has the potential to thrive in the Premier League.
