Tottenham ace may be out for weeks, injury problems expected until May

Tottenham forward Richarlison is unlikely to fully recover from his injury woes before the season ends, according to Dr. Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert notes that with games coming thick and fast, it’s challenging for the Brazilian to regain full fitness in the middle of the campaign.

Richarlison last featured for Spurs in their 4-0 loss to Liverpool on February 6. Three weeks have passed since the 27-year-old suffered a calf injury, and he is expected to remain sidelined for several more weeks.

Even before this setback, the former Everton star has struggled with fitness issues throughout the season.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Dr. Brar, a physical therapy doctor and sports scientist, weighed in on Richarlison’s current situation.

“This one is calf-related and it’s one that’s going to keep him out for a few weeks,” he said.

“Based on his recent injuries and where we are in the season, I wouldn’t expect him to get out of this cycle until the season ends and he has the needed time to really build up his fitness and health.

“It’s really difficult to be chasing health in the middle of a season.“

Timo Werner must now step up for Tottenham

Dr. Brar’s assessment suggests that Richarlison may not reach full fitness before the season ends, leaving Tottenham in need of someone to step up.

Timo Werner, who has struggled since arriving in North London, now has an opportunity to prove his doubters wrong.

The 28-year-old has featured 17 times in the Premier League this season but has yet to score. While he has registered three assists, those numbers fall short of expectations for a forward who once dominated defenses in Germany.

Manager Ange Postecoglou will be hoping the former RB Leipzig star can rediscover his form and finish the season strong.

Tottenham keen on £66m-rated Man United target, deal could be done for less

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Manchester United also showing interest, according to SportWitness. While his contract includes an €80 million release clause, the report suggests he could be available for a lower fee.

Hjulmand has become a key player for Sporting CP, impressing both domestically and in European competitions. Given his strong performances, it’s no surprise that top clubs like Spurs and United are considering a move.

Tottenham could benefit from added depth and quality in midfield, and Hjulmand’s physicality and defensive presence would provide stability while freeing up attacking players. His arrival could significantly bolster Spurs’ midfield.

For a team aiming to compete at the highest level, investing in a £66 million-rated midfielder could be a smart move. However, Manchester United are also eager to strengthen their midfield and see Hjulmand as a valuable addition to their rebuild.

The Danish international possesses the technical skills and physicality needed to thrive in English football, making him an appealing option for both clubs. With his price tag reportedly high, Spurs and United may attempt to negotiate a more reasonable deal. The coming months will determine where he ultimately lands.
