David Sullivan has regained control of West Ham’s transfer dealings this January, and many fans are already noticing the shift.

Frustrated with how Tim Steidten and Julen Lopetegui spent £155m in the summer, Sullivan, the majority owner, has taken back full control of signings.

While it was always Sullivan and the board who had the final say on deals suggested by Steidten, Lopetegui, and David Moyes, Sullivan made it clear that he is now in charge once again, with input from Steidten and the manager.

This move has divided opinion among West Ham supporters, especially with some of the players the club is reportedly targeting.

While Sullivan’s return to the transfer scene invites potential criticism, it’s worth noting that he was responsible for securing one of the summer’s standout signings, Crysencio Summerville.

The Dutch winger has impressed fans with his exciting performances, and at just 22, he fits the profile of the type of player many expected West Ham to build around. Best of all, the Hammers managed to sign Summerville for a reasonable £26m.

Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford is reportedly on Blackburn Rovers manager John Eustace’s radar as part of a broader list of potential targets.

“Patrick is a very good player, I played with him at Derby, a long time ago when he started out.

“He’s a consistent performer at this level, he plays for a huge club in Leeds. But there will be lots of names thrown towards me and I’ll just say they’re good players.

“You’d have to ask the club. He’s a player on a long list that we have looked at and we’ll have to see.”

Leeds United’s apparent interest in strikers this January could hint at the 49ers’ willingness to part ways with Patrick Bamford.

However, it’s unlikely that Daniel Farke sees it that way, especially with Joe Gelhardt heading out on loan this week. Leeds need greater consistency from their attacking options, and neither Joel Piroe nor Mateo Joseph has been fully delivering on that front.

Stephen McGowan of the Scottish Daily Mail has revealed that Rangers are struggling to attract potential investors willing to finance a full takeover of the club.

Concerned Rangers fans are facing a situation with no clear resolution in sight. Despite a string of disappointing results, Patrick Stewart has publicly backed Philippe Clement, while the current board seems unlikely to step aside anytime soon.
