Rangers star may be ruled out for weeks - reports

Rangers attacking midfielder Todd Cantwell is expected to be sidelined for weeks to months due to a hamstring injury, as reported by Dr. Rajpal Brar.

Dr. Brar, an injury expert, observed Cantwell coming off the field during the 3-0 win against St Johnstone on Sunday, 18 February.

Before Cantwell was substituted, he had a conversation with Philippe Clement. Sky Sports later aired footage that indicated Cantwell might be dealing with a hamstring injury.

In an exclusive discussion with Ibrox News, Dr. Brar, who holds degrees in physical therapy and sports science, shared his insights on Cantwell's situation.

“He was spotted holding his hamstring and then was it strapped on later.

“There even were conversations with the manager before he came off.

“While it’s not a good sign, it is hard to say the severity and the best case would be a Grade 1 injury, which is day to day to 10 days.

“On the other hand, the worst case is a Grade 3 which is over three months.“

Cantwell has stood out as a key player for Clement's squad this season and ranks among the team's most vital contributors.

He serves as the linchpin in the team's attacking play, particularly in the final third. Despite the challenges faced by his teammates like Fabio Silva and Scott Wright in the recent match against St Johnstone, Cantwell remained actively involved.

Ideally, his injury is not as severe as requiring months of recovery, and it's hoped that he can make a swift return to the pitch.
