Rams Injury Update: Braden Fiske ‘Full Go’ After Knee Procedure

The Los Angeles Rams may have landed a defensive cornerstone in the 2024 NFL Draft, selecting Florida State standouts Jared Verse and Braden Fiske in the first two rounds.

The pair form a dynamic defensive tandem poised to anchor L.A.’s defense for years, nearly powering the team past the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in last season’s divisional round.

That game, however, came at a cost. Fiske sustained a knee injury that required a minor procedure early in the offseason.

Head coach Sean McVay was quick to reassure fans that the injury wouldn’t impact Fiske’s availability for the 2025 season, though all eyes were on how he would respond in training camp.

Now, it appears there’s no cause for concern. Fiske told reporters and Stu Jackson of TheRams.com that he has made a full recovery from the injury.

Speaking to local media prior to last Thursday’s Rams Revealed Live presented by UNIFY Financial Credit Union, Fiske (right knee injury) said that he is “full go” in those Phase 3 workouts.

“I’m feeling great right now,” Fiske said. “Everything went as planned. We’re even ahead of the process now (compared to) where I thought I was going to be. I’m full go right now, moving, doing indy (individual drills), doing everything and feeling great.”

Fiske elaborated on his recovery, noting a significant transformation in his condition compared to the end of the 2024 season. He emphasized that there’s a noticeable difference between where he was then and where he stands now.

“Especially from where I left off last season and how I feel going into this season, I feel great,” Fiske said. “I’m ready to roll.”

The Rams are thrilled to see Braden Fiske back to full strength and performing at an even higher level than he was at the close of the 2024 season.

Having emerged as a foundational figure on defense, Fiske’s continued progress will be pivotal if Los Angeles is to position itself as a serious Super Bowl contender this year.

The team faced a rough start last season, opening with a 1-4 record through the first five weeks, which nearly extinguished their playoff hopes. But a turnaround after the bye week saw the Rams surge to a 10-7 finish, clinching the NFC West title.

They then cruised past the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card Round before traveling to face the Philadelphia Eagles.

In the postseason, no team came closer to toppling the eventual Super Bowl champions than the Rams, as the Eagles later cruised past both the Washington Commanders and the Kansas City Chiefs to claim the title at Super Bowl LIX.

As the 2025 season approaches, the Eagles remain the favorites in the NFC, though the Rams are not far behind, having made key offseason additions to strengthen their roster.

Michael Brockers, a longtime Rams veteran, voiced confidence in his former team, saying he expects them to pose the biggest threat to Philadelphia next season.
