PFF has assessed the Cincinnati Bengals’ one-year deal with cornerback Marco Wilson, giving it a below-average grade.

The Bengals signed Wilson for $1.52 million, but PFF was not impressed with the value of the deal.

Wilson initially joined Cincinnati late last season after being claimed off waivers.

“Last season in Cincinnati, Wilson allowed 13 catches on 26 targets in coverage, with one forced incompletion,” the article stated. “He also played 97 combined special teams snaps across the kick coverage and punt return units.”

Wilson, a four-year NFL veteran, appeared in six games for the Bengals last season, recording two tackles.

Across 242 snaps split between New England and Cincinnati, PFF gave him an overall grade of 43.5.

Sam Hubbard plans to continue his work in Cincinnati during retirement

Sam Hubbard has officially retired from the NFL after seven seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.

A Cincinnati native, Hubbard played college football at Ohio State before being drafted by his hometown team.

Over the years, he created unforgettable moments, including a crucial sack in the AFC Championship, a game-changing goal-line fumble return in the Wild Card round, and even catching a touchdown pass from Joe Burrow.

As he steps away from the game, Hubbard has no plans to leave Cincinnati. In an interview with Bengals.com’s Geoff Hobson, he shared that his focus will now shift to the Sam Hubbard Foundation.

“My whole plan when starting the foundation was for its impact to outlive my playing days.” Hubbard says. “That’s my project. That’s my baby that I’ve been working on in the offseasons, and now I’ll have a lot more time on my hands to network and do different fundraising events and continue that growth because it’s doing so much good, along with whatever projects the Sam Hubbard Foundation comes across throughout the years. I have an amazing team around me on the SHF staff and great partners at Crayons to Computers. I’m very thankful for them all,” Hubbard Hobson.

Hubbard is still figuring out his next professional move but remains open to all possibilities.

“I’m not going to close any doors. I was a finance major with a good head on my shoulders. I’m going to find something I enjoy doing. People to mentor me, educate myself, stay active, and you never know what can happen,” according to Hobson.

Best of luck to Sam Hubbard in his next chapter, and thank you for an incredible seven seasons!
