Celtic are looking to offload a £16,000-a-week player this summer who reportedly feels let down by manager Brendan Rodgers, with three potential destinations already emerging.

The Hoops and Rodgers are on track for another domestic treble, having secured the Scottish League Cup and clinched the Premiership title ahead of arch-rivals Rangers.

A Scottish Cup final win over Aberdeen at Hampden Park next Saturday would complete another successful season. After that, focus will shift quickly to preparations for the 2025/26 campaign.

Left-back Kieran Tierney has already agreed to rejoin Celtic on a free transfer once his Arsenal contract ends, potentially becoming the first of several summer arrivals in Glasgow.

Celtic are once again being linked with Brøndby striker Mathias Kvistgaarden, and Serbian right-back Veljko Milosavljevic from Crvena zvezda is also on their radar.

With several new signings expected, some departures are likely, and Luis Palma appears set to be among them. The winger was loaned to Olympiacos in January with a purchase option, but the Greek club is not expected to make the deal permanent.

Back in March, Palma stated, “I’m still with them [Celtic]. As long as there’s no transfer, I’ll continue to be grateful to Celtic, but it’s time to defend Olympiacos.”

Now, new reports indicate that Palma’s time at Celtic Park could soon come to an end.

Celtic transfer update on Luis Palma exit with 3 clubs potential destinations

With Olympiacos opting not to activate their option to sign Luis Palma permanently, Celtic now face a decision on the £16,000-a-week winger’s future.

According to a new report from Greece, shared via Sport Witness, Celtic have no plans to include Palma in their squad for the 2025/26 season. The winger is also reportedly eager to move on, feeling mistreated by manager Brendan Rodgers during his time at the club.

Greek sides Panathinaikos, AEK Athens, and PAOK FC have all been named as potential landing spots for the Honduras international, suggesting a return to Greece remains very much on the table. Palma’s stint at Olympiacos was underwhelming, with just one goal and one assist in 12 appearances.

Celtic originally signed the 25-year-old from Aris FC in 2023 for a reported £3.5 million. With his contract running until 2028, the club will be keen to recoup a significant portion of that investment if he departs this summer. Palma’s situation now looks likely to develop in the coming weeks.
