The developers of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 have just released the patch notes for Season 3, introducing fresh content, gameplay improvements, and balance adjustments. They’ve also addressed multiple bugs to enhance the overall experience.
Earlier this month, Activision, the game’s publisher, announced a two-week delay for Black Ops 6 Season 3. As the launch date approached, more details surfaced—Treyarch Studios even confirmed the return of the Firing Range map. Now, with the full patch notes available, players have a detailed look at what’s coming.
Season 3 brings a wealth of new content, including three multiplayer maps: Barrage, Nomad, and Firing Range. Two new modes, Sharpshooter and Demolition, add fresh challenges—Sharpshooter cycles weapon loadouts every 45 seconds while rewarding kill streaks, whereas Demolition revives the tactical gameplay of attacking and destroying two bomb sites.
Players can also get their hands on new weapons like the Kilo 141, CR-56 AMAX, HDR Sniper Rifle, and Nail Gun, some of which are tied to the Battle Pass or limited-time events.
Additionally, new attachments make their debut, such as the Monolithic Suppressor for stealth and the C9 10mm Auto Mags for increased firepower.
Black Ops 6 Season 3 Expands Zombies Mode
The Black Ops 6 Zombies mode is getting a major revamp with the introduction of the Shattered Veil map, packed with new enemies, perks, and Wonder Weapons. Players will explore a mysterious mansion in Liberty Falls, teaming up with S.A.M. to unravel the secrets of the Sentinel Artifact.
Fresh dangers await, including the Elder Disciple, which strengthens nearby zombies and accelerates their transformation into deadlier forms, and Toxic Zombies, which sprint at players and explode into hazardous acid pools.
Making a long-awaited return, the Double Tap Perk-A-Cola boosts fire rate and includes powerful upgrades like Double Jeopardy, which instantly eliminates weaker zombies, and Double Impact, which increases damage on consecutive hits.
Season 3 also brings improvements to RICOCHET Anti-Cheat, reinforcing security and cracking down on cheaters. In Ranked Play, new Retroactive SR Adjustments restore lost SR to players when cheaters are banned, and a new system allows players to rejoin ongoing matches without penalties.
Additionally, weapon balance adjustments tweak damage, fire rates, and handling to create a more fair and refined gameplay experience.
