Arsenal are reportedly ready to make a substantial offer to secure a top striker, described as a “monster,” in their pursuit to strengthen the squad, according to recent reports.

While Gabriel Jesus has rediscovered his scoring touch in recent games, it may not be enough to deter manager Mikel Arteta from pursuing a new forward as early as January.

Arsenal are rumored to be targeting Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani, who has struggled to establish himself under Luis Enrique this season and could be available during the winter transfer window.

Victor Osimhen also features prominently on Arteta’s list of potential signings. The Nigerian striker, considered a “box office” acquisition, is being closely monitored, although Arsenal are expected to face stiff competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea.

Another high-profile option for Arteta is Dusan Vlahovic. Reports from Spain suggest that the Serbian forward has become a key target for Arsenal, with the club reportedly willing to make a significant financial commitment to outbid Chelsea for his services. Arteta is keen on acquiring a striker who can provide both goals and leadership in attack.

Vlahovic, who joined Juventus for £67 million in January 2022, is reportedly open to offers from top clubs. Juventus, facing financial pressures, may be willing to offload the 24-year-old for the right price, making a potential deal feasible if Arsenal can meet the asking price.

Despite Kai Havertz’s recent Premier League goals and Jesus’ contributions, questions remain about their ability to lead Arsenal’s frontline consistently over the long term.

Arteta’s pursuit of a proven goalscorer like Vlahovic, who has delivered consistently in Serie A, could be the solution to the team’s attacking concerns.

The 24-year-old’s talent has earned him the nickname “monster” from the Italian media, and his sharp goal-scoring instincts might be precisely what Arsenal require to challenge Liverpool in the Premier League title race.

Following Liverpool’s commanding 5-0 win over West Ham United yesterday, the Gunners now find themselves nine points behind. To bridge that gap, Arsenal will need an almost flawless performance in the second half of the season.
