American tennis player Amanda Anisimova reflected on her time at Indian Wells by sharing a photo dump after her first-round exit from the BNP Paribas Open.

The 17th seed was eliminated early after a hard-fought three-set loss to Belinda Bencic.

Anisimova, who claimed the Qatar Open title in February, was expected to make a deep run but fell to a determined Bencic.

The Swiss player took the opening set 6-4, while Anisimova fought back to win the second in a tiebreak. However, Bencic, fresh off her Abu Dhabi Open triumph, dominated the decider 6-1 to secure a spot in the third round, where she will face Russia’s Diana Shnaider.

Acknowledging her brief campaign at Indian Wells, Anisimova shared a collection of moments from her time at the tournament, captioning the post with a reflection on her experience.

“IW 25’ / short, but had a great time”

The photo series featured Anisimova sipping Starbucks coffee, enjoying a night out in the city, and unwinding in her hot tub.

Anisimova’s season has been a mix of highs and lows. She reached the quarterfinals of the Hobart International before a second-round exit at the Australian Open.

However, she bounced back in style by winning the Qatar Open, securing the biggest title of her career with victories over Australian Open semifinalists Paula Badosa and Jelena Ostapenko.

Since that triumph, Anisimova has struggled to maintain momentum, suffering first-round exits at both the Dubai Tennis Championships and the BNP Paribas Open.

Amanda Anisimova hits out at WTA scheduling after early exit in Dubai Tennis Championships

Amanda Anisimova criticized the WTA’s scheduling following her early exit from the Dubai Tennis Championships.

Just 48 hours after winning the Qatar Open on February 15, the American had to fly to Dubai and take on McCartney Kessler in the first round.

The 23-year-old expressed frustration, stating that her body had no time to adjust to the new conditions.

“Definitely a little scary to go and play after such a quick turnaround. Not testing out the conditions and putting your body through that, it’s like very vulnerable,” Amanda Anisimova told the press after her match.

Anisimova added that players had no option but to compete in consecutive tournaments to avoid losing ranking points.

“With the schedule they have on us, it’s tough. You get fined. Then your ranking gets affected if you skip the big tournaments. We don’t get much of a choice when it comes to that. Knowing that in my mind, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m going to try to play and do the best that I can. Hopefully I can get more used to that,'” she added.

Anisimova actually achieved a career-high ranking of 18 in the WTA standings following her strong performance at the Qatar Open.
