Las Vegas Raiders left tackle Kolton Miller came out as one of the key beneficiaries of the 2025 NFL Draft.

In the days leading up to the draft, the team had been linked to selecting an offensive tackle in the first round.

If running back Ashton Jeanty had been available, the Raiders might have gone that route.

Instead, they waited until late in the third round to address the offensive line, which reflects positively on Miller’s standing.

This development favors Miller, who is reportedly pushing for a new contract. He was the only veteran absent from the team’s recent voluntary minicamp, fueling speculation that he might sit out until a new deal was in place.

Though there’s been no official indication that the Raiders are negotiating a new contract, Miller seems to have adjusted his stance.

After the draft, during the second phase of the offseason program, a team photo posted online showed him present.

Since the workouts remain voluntary, Miller could have skipped them without consequence.

Given that he’s entering the final year of his contract with no guaranteed money remaining, he still holds a strong position to pressure the team for an extension.

His leverage has grown now that the Raiders didn’t draft a ready-to-start replacement. Quality left tackles are hard to come by, and while Miller may not be an All-Pro, he’s been a reliable presence for years.

It’s difficult to envision the Raiders not making some sort of move to revise his contract.
