The Boston Celtics will look to extend their winning streak to six games on Monday but could face a tough challenge against a Sacramento Kings team eager for a turnaround.

Sacramento may get a major boost as star center Domantas Sabonis, who suffered a right ankle sprain on March 17, is ahead of schedule in his recovery.

Sabonis was a full participant in Sunday’s practice after initially being projected to miss 10 days.

His return would be a welcome sight for the Kings, who have dropped two straight games without him while fighting for a playoff spot in the Western Conference play-in tournament.

Sacramento currently holds the No. 9 seed, sitting just 1.5 games ahead of the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks with 12 regular-season games left.

Every game is critical for the Kings, as a poor finish could push them out of the playoff picture entirely.

Boston, on the other hand, is in a much more comfortable position. With an 11-game cushion and securely locked into the No. 2 seed, the Celtics have the luxury of managing their lineup carefully.

The second night of a back-to-back could mean a shorthanded squad, with Al Horford expected to rest and Jaylen Brown set for re-evaluation after missing three games with a knee injury.

Jayson Tatum also appeared on Sunday’s injury report but played in Boston’s win over the Blazers.

Meanwhile, Kristaps Porzingis (illness) and Jrue Holiday (shoulder) may return after missing the front half of the back-to-back.

Sacramento could also be without starting shooting guard Malik Monk, who is questionable with an illness.

The Celtics will officially release their injury report on Monday afternoon ahead of their matchup against the Kings.

Tip-off is set for 10:00 p.m. ET at Golden One Arena.
